Drive-In Pallet Rack Systems in New Albany, IN

Warehouses near Grant Line Road corridor keep hitting the same wall: too many aisles for the number of SKUs you actually carry. Drive-in warehouse racking is one of the more direct ways for a New Albany building to add capacity without touching the envelope.

Given the value of lane dimensions drawn around your specific lift truck, we model this against a second configuration on the same New Albany floor plan so density and access are numbers you can compare. Free to see, no obligation to order, and the drive-in rack numbers are yours either way. Call (502) 521-1485 about your Grant Line Road corridor building.

Why New Albany Warehouses Work With Us

No two buildings near Grant Line Road corridor carry the same combination of clear height, aisle width, and floor loading, which is why we draw every New Albany layout to the site instead of pulling one off a shelf.

We have been laying out drive-in rack for manufacturing and building materials operations in the New Albany market as part of Warehouse Equipment & Supplies Co. since 1997, and bulk SKUs held deep while the pick face stays selective is the drive-in rack fit question we work through with your New Albany team before quoting.

One number reaches the people who did the work, whether that is a drive-in rack revision during design or an additional row for a Downtown New Albany site three years out.

    How Drive-In Rack Works

No aisles. The forklift enters the structure, and the floor holds more pallets per square foot than any other system.

    1

    Continuous rails, not beams

Pallets rest on rails carried by upright frames rather than individual beam levels, so a lane accepts pallet after pallet at the same elevation.

    2

    The truck enters the lane

The driver travels inside the bay to place or retrieve each load. Lane width, rail height, and mast clearance get dimensioned to that specific truck, not a generic one.

    3

    One open end or two

One open end gives LIFO and the highest density available. Two open ends give FIFO with slightly fewer positions, since each lane now needs clearance from both sides.

    4

    Guarding built into the design

Guide rails, column guards, and rail-end protection are part of the spec from the start to help keep trucks aligned and reduce contact with the structure.

What a Drive-In Rack Project Includes

Before drive-in rack is priced for a State Street industrial site, we collect the constraints: usable height, column grid, aisle widths your lifts need, and the pallet mix your building materials volume actually moves.

You then get a drive-in rack position count for the New Albany footprint, load ratings for every beam level, and pricing broken out by component, so cost per pallet position is visible rather than buried in a lump sum. Where it makes sense we run the same plan a second way, with bulk SKUs held deep while the pick face stays selective.

Drive-In Rack lead time is confirmed on your quote, and delivery is scheduled around your New Albany receiving hours. Experienced installation crews we schedule and manage build to the drawing, with the system anchored to the floor, aligned and capacity-tagged. Your team gets a documented layout for future additions.

High volume of a small number of SKUs
Seasonal or buffer inventory held in bulk
Cold storage and freezer rooms where cube matters most
Product too fragile to floor-stack more than two high
Buildings where floor space, not height, is the binding constraint
