How do I choose between rack types?

Selective teardrop rack is the starting point for mixed SKUs; pushback stores 2–6 deep with LIFO by SKU, pallet flow serves FIFO or dated stock, and drive-in suits bulk storage with few SKUs. Cantilever holds long loads, while carton flow serves case picking.

Can I add on to my existing pallet rack?

Usually, if the connection matches, but "teardrop" is not universal across manufacturers. Send photos of the upright face, beam connector and any label so we can identify matching components before you order.

How wide should my forklift aisles be?

Aisle width is set by the lift truck: counterbalance trucks need approximately 12–13 feet, reach trucks 8–10 feet, and very-narrow-aisle equipment 5–6 feet. We confirm the requirement against your truck and load; aisle width has a major effect on storage density.

Who schedules and manages rack installation?

Yes. We handle design, supply and installation through experienced installation crews we schedule and manage. The system is anchored to the floor, aligned and capacity-tagged to the approved layout.

How much weight can pallet rack hold?

There is no single rack capacity: beam capacity is per pair, per level, while frame capacity depends on height and beam spacing. We size beams and frames from your heaviest pallet, and capacities go on load plaques.

Choosing Between Rack Types

Four things decide the answer: how many SKUs you carry, how many pallets you hold of each one, how fast product turns, and how much height the building gives you.

Many SKUs with a pallet or two each point to selective pallet rack. Several pallets of the same item favor pushback. Date-driven rotation calls for pallet flow. Large volumes of a few items in a tight footprint suit drive-in. Long material needs cantilever, and case picking needs carton flow.
