Cantilever Rack for New Albany, Indiana Warehouses

If your New Albany operation is dealing with lumber or pipe stacked on the floor and blocking work areas, that is a storage design problem, not a leasing problem. Cantilever Rack is built for exactly that situation — it turns the unused clear height in a Grant Line Road corridor building into working load positions instead of aisle.

We size the cantilever rack around your pallets, your lift trucks, and the clear height in your Grant Line Road corridor building, factoring in arm length and capacity set by the bundles you handle. You get a drawing and a line-item price for the Grant Line Road corridor site, not a rough estimate. Call (502) 521-1485 and we will start a New Albany layout.

Why New Albany Warehouses Work With Us

Buildings around Grant Line Road corridor and State Street industrial are rarely uniform. Column spacing, dock aprons, and usable height differ enough from one New Albany site to the next that a layout copied from another building wastes positions.

That is part of why cantilever rack fits New Albany operations: single-sided runs along the wall, double-sided in open floor. A short design consult tells you quickly whether that tradeoff works for your SKUs, or whether another system carries more of the load in a Grant Line Road corridor footprint.

We also keep the New Albany cantilever rack layout on file, so adding a bay next year or extending a row does not start from scratch.

    How Cantilever Rack Works

Arms with nothing in front of them, built for lumber, pipe, and anything a pallet can't hold.

    1

    Columns and anchored bases

Upright columns sit on bases anchored to the floor. Base depth is set by load and arm length so the run stays stable even under an off-center pick.

    2

    Arms at adjustable heights

Arms bolt or pin into the column at set increments and move as your product mix changes. Straight arms suit boxed goods; inclined arms with a lip hold round or loose stock in place.

    3

    Column spacing against sag

Spacing between columns is set so bundles don't sag between arms. A common starting rule places arms about half the load length apart, with the ends overhanging evenly.

    4

    Single-sided or double-sided

Single-sided runs go against a wall. Double-sided runs stand in open floor and load from both faces, doubling capacity per base without doubling the footprint.

What a Cantilever Rack Project Includes

The first step is a working list of what has to fit in your New Albany space: pallet sizes, heaviest load, forklift reach, and how many SKUs need direct access versus cantilever rack depth.

From there our design team produces a CAD cantilever rack layout showing positions, elevations, and aisle widths for your New Albany floor plan, plus an itemized quote so you see cost per pallet position. Where it helps, we price a second configuration on the same plan, with single-sided runs along the wall, double-sided in open floor, so the tradeoff between density and access is a number instead of an opinion. Load ratings for each cantilever rack level are documented in the New Albany drawing, not guessed in the field.

Cantilever Rack delivery windows are coordinated around your State Street industrial dock. Experienced installation crews we schedule and manage work from the New Albany drawing, with the system anchored to the floor, aligned and capacity-tagged. Added positions and later reconfigurations go through the same contact.
